Project
Bread's website offers information on several state and
federal nutrition programs.
Project Bread has also developed gettingfoodstamps.org, a comprehensive website aimed at educating eligible Massachusetts residents about the Food Stamp Program. The website provides potential foodstamp applicants access to information about the program.
The School Nutrition Association of Massachusetts
is one of the leading organizations committed to
educating, supporting, and inspiring school nutrition
and food service professionals. For questions about basic nutrition, allergies, or nutrition education, check out their Ask the SNA Nutrition Committee page.
The Massachusetts Farm to School Project has been matching local farmers and schools since 2004. Their website features statistics on local food purchasing, information on farmers willing to sell to school districts, and resources for using fresh produce such as the MA Farm to School Cookbook.
The John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition offers educational and training opportunities for teachers, nurses, food service personnel, and others working to improve the quality of the school nutrition environment.
The A-list, maintained by the John Stalker Institute, is an updated and continually expanding list of vending and snack products that meet the Massachusetts A La Carte Food & Beverage Standards to Promote a Healthier School Environment, created by Massachusetts Action for Healthy Kids.
The Wellness Solution for Massachusetts is an online resource for school community members to establish, implement, and share effective wellness policies for their schools.
Action for Healthy Kids is a public-private partnership that addresses the epidemic of overweight, sedentary, and undernourished youth by focusing on changes in schools to improve nutrition and increase physical activity. Each state has its own state team.
The Northeast Regional Anti-Hunger Network serves as the coalition of anti-hunger agencies from the seven states in USDA's Northeast region (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut). Its website features an online SFSP Best Practices tool as well as information about the federal nutrition programs.

Research and Action Center (FRAC) has great information
and helpful additional links. FRAC's School Breakfast Scorecard 2007 provides important information about breakfast participation in MA and the rest of the country.
The USDA's Food and Nutrition Service website has information on School Meals, Food Stamps, WIC, and many other great resources.
