  • School Meals/SNAP Outreach Tool- NEW!

This new 4" x 7" pad of tear off sheets (50 sheets to a pad) notifies parents who receive SNAP (formerly food stamps) or TANF benefits that their children are automatically eligible to receive free school meals. These FREE pads will be available in multiple languages at the end of October. To place your order now, you can visit our online store, contact CNOP at 617-723-5000, or email cnop@projectbread.org

  • New USDA Policy: Expanded Categorical Eligibility
According to the USDA, ALL children in a family are now categorically eligible for free school meals.

This means that if the name of one child in a family appears on either the direct certification list or on an application with a case number for: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps),Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), then ALL siblings are also eligible for free meals.

Schools may use district enrollment to determine additional children who are part of the family.
